Bharatiya Temple of NWI is looking for volunteers to help us with the daily temple activities. Help needed from 9 to noon and 5pm to 8:30pm Every Day and 9 to 1pm on Saturday and Sunday. You can commit once a month:

I, want to serve the Devatas at Bharatiya Temple, and the devotee community at Bharatiya Temple as a Seva. I recognize that my primary responsibility is to project a positive, professional image and provide the best possible assistance and information to the devotees, public, staff and other volunteers at all times (including through verbal and electronic communications). I understand that I will be held to each of the following:

Purpose
Volunteers at Bhartiya Temple, Chalfont play an important role in supporting religious, cultural, educational, and community activities. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour expected of all volunteers to ensure a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for devotees, visitors, staff, and fellow volunteers.
Core Values
All volunteers are expected to uphold the Temple’s core values:

● Respect: Honouring all individuals regardless of age, gender, background, or belief
● Integrity: Acting honestly, responsibly, and ethically
● Harmony: Promoting peace, cooperation, and unity within the community
Expected Behaviour
Volunteers must:
● Conduct themselves with dignity, courtesy, and respect at all times
● Follow the instructions of Temple trustees, coordinators, and designated supervisors
● Dress modestly and appropriately for a place of worship
● Be punctual, reliable, and committed during agreed volunteer hours
● Use polite and inclusive language when interacting with others
● Respect Temple traditions, rituals, and religious practices
Safeguarding and Welfare
● Volunteers must help create a safe environment for children, young people, and vulnerable adults
● Any concerns regarding safety, welfare, or inappropriate behaviour must be reported immediately to a Temple trustee or safeguarding lead
● Volunteers must never engage in behaviour that could be considered abusive, intimidating, or exploitative
